Going to be visiting the wifes folks in Sydney this June.

What do I need to do to stay connected to the office or should I just not worry about it.

Will a SIM card work but only give me phone use down there?

am with verizon and was able to use the 8830 WE "down under" with no issues...of course my firm picks up the tab so i've no idea how expensive it was.

no idea how it works for other carriers, but i believe that with verizon, one must get an unlock code for the GSM portion of the WE in order to use anything other than a verizon-branded SIM outside of the US.
