Maybe that's why I've never gotten that error. I never used voice dialing with the stock ROM and have removed it from every hybrid that I've run.

I have it installed, but I don't use it. I still get the error. I am in the process of seeing if that workaround works.

I just experienced the "device media processor busy error" and successfully clear it by starting then exiting voice dialing after it initialized.

How to determine if you have an ESN or MEID based device.
From the main menu, select Options, then select Status.
ESN devices - On the Status screen you will see ESN on the display
MEID devices – On the Status screen you will see MEID on the display.
NOTE – You cannot install ESN-based software on a MEID device, nor can you install MEID-based software on an ESN device. They are NOT interchangeable.

FYI this is for the MEID device I think. < oops wrong info, it has both

My chirping noise is gone. I had it in 4.5.0.169 about once every 5 minutes. However, on two separate 30 minute calls, I did not get one chirp.

Well, I jumped the gun on this one. I'm getting chirping noises on my calls quite a bit.

Just watching this one, and since I have downloaded 175, my WE will just quit transmitting, until I do a battery pull. Everything else seems to be fine, any ideas?
And, if anyone knows, my letters up top showing what network I am on, sometimes they are in CAPS, sometimes in smalls. When in smalls, it seems like that is when it locks up. does anyone know what that means?

I face a very strange problem after upgrading to Sprint OS 4.5.175. I do not get a beep during call waiting. Though call waiting is activated and when there is a waiting call, information is there on the screen but there is no beep/alert for this. Has any body else faced this problem. The problem was not there when I was on OS 4.2. Its very disgusting, don't know what's wrong. Please help.

It will work. I'm running 175 with skunkd's hybrid on my 8830 (vzw). Do a sesrch in cb for 8830 hybrid and ck out my posts. Hope this helps

Worked fine for my 8830 on Verizon using Apploader after deleting the vendor file. I also overwrote the java file with the Skunkd hybrid files posted in another thread) which also work fine.

To be honest, I don't see any difference between this and .169.

I received a notification from Mac Desktop Manager which upgraded my 8830we to .175 and I haven't noticied much of a difference in anything and the mem leak issue is still there

OS upgrade to .175 when smooth.
Had to do a battery pull as service did not start. Smooth operation afterward.
While deleting email, No option to delete on mailbox anymore.
Same memory leakage.

Sice I downloaded 4.5.0.175 to my BB 8830 WE from Verizon, I can't open my CNBC app. it takes me to a verizonwireless screen instead to the Blackberry screen and then gives me an error mesage 400: bad reqest.

I will make a new findings thread some time this weekend or early next week. I installed .186 eariler this week, so far it is better than .174. That will probably be my last 8830 findings thread though. I plan to get a 9650 on May 23rd

It's your network, not the software. I've NEVER had the squawk in all my time of owning the 8830.
