MMS need to be sent to [email protected] or to one of the emails attached to your BlackBerry

The BB 8830 doesn't receive MMS messages. You have to have them emailed to you. I was wondering the same thing and I finally called my carrier and found that out.
    hope this helps.

They wont turn it on, I've tried. Although the units are capable of MMS, verizon disabled the feature becuase the phone doesn't have a camera on it.

Thats what verizon told me. No camera, so no MMS. I told them it was ridiculous but they woudlnt listen. So to answer your question, no, I dont forsee them ever turning it on for non camera phones. Even if the unit is capable of the feature.

Alltel has opened up MMS on their most recent software update (28MAY09) for the 8830. It can be found at software.alltel.com. I don't know if verizon users might be able to pull out service books from the software and makes theirs work, since verizon and alltel are now going to be the same

How many people need to call and complain to VZW to allow MMS frmo the 8830? Getting them in Email is ridiculous, this trumps them turning off GPS! VZW - turn MMS on on the 8830 WE!

Lukeb, I was curious about that myself. I saw the Alltel update, and I wonder if a VZ update might be forthcoming soon? I am not clear on how exactly the service books and things like that work on BBs, but am also curious if it is possible.
