I have an 8820 which I am about to toss out. Nothing but frustrations with WiFi. WiFi works in US with prepaid sim on AT&T but not in Canada with Rogers. Rogers tech support has spent a week on and can't figure out.

WiFi connects to many wireleess routers in Canada and show connectred. When opening the browser it does send several packages back and forth then dies.Comes back with Network unavailable.

Actually loads and passes WAP security.

Every now and then it will work but is inconsistant.

I have wiped the old o/s and reloaded latest.

Not inpressed at all with RIM or Rogers. Rogers even suggested the WiFichip was bad even though it works in USA.

Seems to me to be a software switch or s/w error.

Also VR+ s/w will not run. Loaded key and on booting the application comes up with "The application VR+ has attempted to open to a location insde the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy. VR manufactorer has not responded to 2 requests. It seem like the 8820 and s/w are toys not business tools. Cannot afford this lousy service.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
