I did some searching around the interwebs and couldn't find much about the 8800 being quiet. I'm wondering if it's just mine. I have a Pearl and just got an 8800. I noticed the earpiece seems to be much quieter than the Pearl during calls.
Is there anyway to fix this? I've got the volume on max, but I'd like to make it louder if possible. Is there an alx file I can modify, much the same way I'm able to unlock all themes? What if I take apart the 8800 and clean the ear speaker? Would a replacement speaker be louder? Or am I experiencing the same thing as everyone else? It's not horrible, it's just not as loud as the Pearl.
