    I have an 8800 and the warranty just expired and I have just started getting these problems where the screen will go white and say app error 523 or 503 i forget which one. I have reinstalled OS 4.2 and it doesn't fix the problem. I haven't installed the DST update or the Calender fix yet, I'm somewhat new to BB, got mine from my dad.

    If anyone could help me it would be great.

    I would wipe the device and then reload a newer OS to the device. Usually a rogue app causes this. Do you have any added applications on the device?

    I have no extra applications but I was thinking on going trying OS 4.3

    That'd be a great idea if OS 4.3 was available for the 8800. Unfortunatly, it's not available.

    4.2.1.108 is the latest OS for the 8800 that I'm aware of....it may not be released by your carrier but you can still run it on your device.
