Apparently the Pearl 8130 came preloaded with Verizon's navigation software installed and ready to use the device's gps capabilities, so I'm wondering is this coming anytime soon to the 8830 WE? Verizon's "security issues" must be fixed if they're using it on another BB. Anyone have any ideas?

there are multiple threads talking about GPS and verizon service and software upgrades.



It has been rumored but not confirmed that it will be used with their program in the future but not yet.

I was told VZNav for 8830 in November - but it won't let 3p apps access the GPS such as BB Maps, Google maps, etc.

Yes, we have threads discussing this. Also, the 8130 didn't come with GPS. It isn't even out yet. It is expected in November. That is also when we can expect GPS for the 8830.
