Ok, I have gone through all of the rig-a-maroll to get music onto my 8830. Now that the music is on there I cant play it. I also noticed that I cant even play the pre-loaded music already on the BB. WTF????

What do you mean "can't play"? Do you get an error? Does it freeze? Does it look like its playing but you don't hear it?

When I press play it does nothing... the time isn't scrolling and there is no sound. So really, it just sits there. The media player window opens, and I see the album artwork and all that, I just cant hear anything.

I have been playing around and also noticed that the phone will not play certain ringtones either. Im confoozed

maybe the profile you are in is set to off. maybe it's muted in media player. You try the side buttons going up, for the volume..

Nah... some things (ringtones, but not all) play in the media player. None of the music plays though.

Is this phone "brand new" or did you buy it used?

Could just be a bad phone then. If you're having problems playing even the preloaded files (as in all of them, not just some) then there's some issues with the phone. Could be physical or software related. The question is, are you tech savvy enough to mess with it, or do you just want to simply get it swapped out. If the phone is within the 30 day window they will exchange it with a NEW device, so you really have nothing to loose. Just check the replacement out before you leave the store and make sure it does what it's supposed to. So, jump in the BMW and head back to the store.

Yeah, the phone is over 30 days old... grrr. I only recently though started to do more then email and phone calling on the thing.

This happened to me also and a battery pull fixed it right up.
