    I just got my bb 8830 and i'm trying to add ringtones w/ the usb cable, but my computer doesn't recognize my bb. What do I do?

    I used the Blackberry Desktop manager to transfer ring tones to my 8830. Google it.

    Desktop Manager is also the only way that I have found to do this.

    yup. and of course ota. have you tried another usb port? if that doesn't work, restart your bb while plugged into your PC.
