My trackball works to roll around, but it stopped working when i push it in (don't always register as a click). I took it apart, cleaned it out, then put it back together. It now occasionally clicks, but hardly ever. Then sometimes when it does, it clicks many times repeatedly (like 15 times).
Anyone else have this issue? Or something similar....Could it be software or hardware?
It sounds like the sensor underneath the trackball is beginning to fail or get stuck if you get repeated clicks when it does engage. I don't know of any quick fixes other than sending it in for repair or replacement. Maybe some other members will chime in on this and have a solution or suggestion.
