Is there a way to set a specific text notification sound with individual senders? ie my pager for work can now have the pages sent to the BB as a text. I'd like a way to differentiate between a page from work and a regular text message.
You can accomplish this using profile exceptions and custom profiles. It is a bit clumsy, but it works. Note: when using a profile exception, switching your phone to silent/quiet/phone only, will not silence alerts generated by the exception.
Create a profile for your pager text messages and set the alerts you want to use accordingly. Then create a profile exception for your pager address book entry and assign it to the profile you just created. Profiles and exceptions can be created and edited using the "Advanced" option from the profile selection app.
