Text Messages won't clear from Today screen

I am new to the game so this might be a stupid question but...

After I read a text message, it still appears under "Messages" on the Today screen. I even tried deleting the message but it still is there (although it appears to be deleted when I click through into Messages).

Any ideas?

I have the same problem - rebooting does help but once I get a new SMS it gets stuck on the today screen. Am using Vodafone Today - Green on the BB8800 with 4.5.037 OS.

Any help appreciated. Its probably down to the beta OS.

i got thr 4.5.037 on my 8320 , i never had this problem . it might be only with the 8800 series i guess.. i m sure it will be fixed in the update...

yep - the .42 update seems to have fixed the issue.
