I recently had my personal BB added to my companies BES to avoid carrying two phones. When they gave it back from setup, most of my own apps and data were either gone or did not work. I own SpashID and have tried twice to re sync with my desktop data. Both time the phone jumps to a wipe mode and I loose everything. I have checked content protection and it's not enabled. I also looked at the IT Policy Name and it just says Default.
What else should I check or what are my options to get my own apps working again?
It sounds like your IT Policy doesn't allow syncing with your Desktop. You'll need to talk to your IT person about installing apps for you.
You may want to reconsider giving your phone to your employer. It's almost never a good idea to put your personal phone on a BES, unless your employer agrees to pick up some of your monthly bill in exchange for control of your device. IT policies can be very strict.
