My BlackBerry is automatically deleting calender items that are more than a few weeks old. I would prefer that they not be deleted or, at least, when i synch with outlook, i can perform a calendar synch (to add items added on my bberry to outlook) that doesnt delete the old calender items on outlook. Any advice?

there is also an option on DM for setting this.

Statman's instructions are correct; however, there is a long-standing and unsolved bug in the calendar that may cause you to lose old appointments even if you have your options set correctly. For examples, see these threads:
