hello,

is there any way to NOT have my sent emails show up as new messages?

i've figured out how to not show the sent text messages, but can't seem to figure out how to stop getting a new message every time i send an email.

using 8830 we with verizon.

Within messages go to Options>General Options then change hide sent messages to Yes.

once this is done, how do you view sent emails or sent sms?

thanks for the reply, but it is already set to hide sent messages. it only hides the text messages, emails that i send either from my pc or bb will then show as a new message on my bb.

i would like to have it the same as the text messages, where i can go to "View Folder" and see my sent emails that way, but not have a new message every time i send an email.

Are you using gmail?

This is a known issue with gmail accounts. The reason this happens is because the gmail website is set up to show email conversations as a kind of "chat thread." This can be prevented; go to your BIS website and set a filter on your gmail account to filter emails sent from your own gmail address. Sent messages will no longer be forwared to your BlackBerry.
