    Is it possible to deactivate or change the function of the side button?

    I keep hitting it accidentally and it keeps wanting to voice dial.

    Go into Options -> Screen/Keyboard. It's the Convenience Key setting.

    I like the Application Switcher.

    A lot of people will set one to camera and the other to lock or whatever. You can set it to nothing if ya want as well. Welcome to crackberry!
