Well I have been an owner of a BB8830 We for a few days now.
And so far I am hating every minute of it. I got a hand me down off a friend. It came with no battery or charger so I bought one today. I plugged it in and iam getting a white screen with a battery symbol with a line through it..

With the BB plugged into my laptop , Under my computer the BB shows up as a removable disc with a file size of 0.. So I am guessing there isn't an OS installed on it anymore?? But if there is no OS installed would this cause the BB not to charge the battery?

I am also getting a Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation message when upgrading in desktop manager 4.6

The phone was on the Telus network a week ago before the plan was cancelled. I am wanting to get this hooked up asap..Please help me before i throw this thing in the garbage..
