I keep getting the blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device
software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless provider i get that when i click on application loader.

Sounds like you haven't installed the 8830 handheld device software on your computer. Desktop Manager is telling you its not installed and to go to your provider, download and install the software.

I have install everything that Sprint have sent me so why do i still get that when i try and add something to the blackberry?

Carriers only provide the Desktop Manager application on CD. You also need to download the most current version of the device-specific application/driver package for your particular BlackBerry model and install it on your PC.

When you launch Desktop Manager, it will look for these package files to determine what kind of device it is dealing with and allow you to interact with it.
