I got news for you... it's already on the phone. And even if you don't belive me, just download an OS install and install it on your PC. Then dig through the java folder and you'll find that file.
I have loaded this file on my phone a long time ago. Didn't do anything. In actuality, the file is actually part of Blackberry Maps. Any file that starts with net_rim_bb_lbs is Blackberry Maps. The file is missing off the Verizon OS and phones and this is why you cannot choose Internal GPS in Blackberry Maps on VZW's 8830. That is all this file does. It's Blackberry Maps' control file for the internal GPS.... and no, having it on the phone doesn't cause GPS to start working.
I'm glad that I'm hearing about all of these problems that you're all having with these different carriers and Berries. I'll keep my 7100i with Nextel, at least I don't never have to worry about my GPS, text messaging, mms messaging and anything else not working.

Unload the BB Maps on the phone. Then go to Blackberry.com and download BBMaps from there. Let it install on the phone and then use javaloader to get the file off the phone. No one's going to post a copy... do the work if you want the file.
That is fine. Thanks for letting me know how to do it. I have no problem doing the work myself, I didn't know how. But, thanks for pointing that out, I can't follow simple instructions.
