Well last night I all the sudden got an MMS message. To my surprise you can now send and recieve MMS messages on your Blackberry with Alltel service. I'm freaken stoked. Its about time! I'm not not sure if this has to do with OS4.5.0.77 or not. Although I have has .77 since it was first available, so I doubt that. So a big fat thank you to Alltel and RIM and welcome to 2008. lol

So, how do you send a MMS? Not seeing a menu item in 77...

Hit the messages icon. Hit the menu button. Scroll down till you see it say Compose MMS. It should be right under Compose SMS. THats how it is on mine anyways.

Hmmm.... I have .77 and on my 8830, under Compose SMS it has "instant Message"...

MMS is no where to be found

A buddy and I rebuilt a 95 Convertable Stang stroked 347. The whole engine is chrome and the color is a BASF extreme paint called Ocean. My buddy just added a 100 shot of NOS. lol He must be trying to kill himself.

hey im having issues with this new feature....it seems i can send MMS and can receive but i cant view them, even if i click on retrieve now

I'm not say I'm some expert on this or anything but help 2 figure this out. What OS do u have? Have u tried doing a battery pull? Have u tried just sending a .jpg instead of a .gif? If u dont have 4.5.0.77 os go get it. Do a batt pull as well. Let me know if this works.

Do u have Aerize Card Loader on ur phone. If so take it off. It has been causing problems with MMS from what I have been reading. Also try other 3rd party apps as well. Uninstall them and do a batt pull after each one. Did you try to resend ur service books?

do you have to have an MMS enabled texting plan or will the standard 250 text message plan work?

Im not sure about that in all honesty. I would think not because an MMS is an enhanced text not just regular words. Just a guess though.

I have the unlimited "text" only plan, and mine is working.

I believe I'm paying 25 cents per MMS tho...

I had a friend at work that had the same issue. He was running an OS lower than 4.5. Once he upgraded, problem solved.

I know you guys have been chimin' about how Alltel doesn't have MMS. So since you apparently have it now, you mean to tell me that the 8830 is sending and receiving them now? Oh verizon why...
