    Is there a way for me to not have all my sent messages show up in my messages section. For example, when i send an email, 10 seconds later I will get a notification that I got a new message but really it's my sent message.

    You're using GMail, right?

    Go to BIS, and add a filter to your GMail account. Here you go:
