I have a 4 gig card in my WE 8830 and when I download an app I get a message that there is only a small amount of memory remaining , even though the card has 3.5 gig left on it. What do I not have enabled, turned on, activated or whatever that shifts downloaded items to the card memory?

BTW I do medicine for a living and much of this is Greek to me.....we can talk about cholesterol, heart disease and headaches easily, but here I am at your mercy

Apps can only run in device memory. You can store them on the card, but you can't run them from there. That's why you're getting the warning. The 8830 was a good device for its day, but if you want to run a lot of apps, you will probably want to get a current device with more memory. The Tour is the direct replacement for the 8830. It has 256MB of memory, compared to the 64MB of the 8830. Whereas 25MB file free was very good for an 8830, the Tour can easily have >100MB file free.
