Just curious if there is a program for my 8830 that I can download that will allow a soft chime or alert to sound on the hour every hour...of course be able to disable it whenever to.

I don't think one exists, but I think I have an old Casio digital watch somewhere in my attic I can let you have.

I did find one on Handango. It's called Vorino Clock. You can download it and install. JR, thanks for the offer for the Casio though.

It's just like the beep on some wrist watches...in my job, at times I perform certain functions on the hour and this is my reminder. I downloaded a program and set it up with a very soft chime. It's very soft but alerts me it's the top of the hour.
