Hey guys, I have a 8830 with vzw carrier. I am going on a trip to Hong Kong and china in a month or two and want to bring my phone with me. I saw that I have to get it unlocked by verizon so it will recognize a new sim card? If someone can let me know how to do that or if i can get a prepaid sim and it will work? Please let me know some options!! Thanks!!
You can use your sim card you already have (if you want to.) However, you'll need to call Verizon to get your device unlocked if you want to use other sim cards. This thread should help.
