I'm going to be studying abroad in Spain in the Spring and need some help deciding what to do. My contract (or rather, my parents') with Verizon is almost up for my line and I need to get a new phone. I'm hoping to get a phone that I can use locally overseas as well as at home (for the next 4 months as well as when I get back) by hopefully switching in and out sim cards. Because Verizon is terrible, I only have two options for a global phone, one being the Blackberry 8830 WE. After reading through the forums I've discovered the problems with unlocking the verizon phone and am looking at moving to another carrier. I apologize for being the dumb new kid, but what would you guys suggest I do? Should I stick with Verizon and hope for the best with customer service, switch carriers, or just deal with having to rent a phone/buy phone cards in Spain? Thank you in advance!
