    Hello all....

The highways I travel tend to have spots where the coverage just isn't quite there, despite the claims of telus.

I realize the 8830 does not have provisions for any sort of external antenna, but is there some way of using one anyway ? A passive booster with an antenna on the car roof perhaps ??

A quick google brings up a cradle from THB that seems to have some capabilities this way... are there others ? Anyone have experience with these ?

    thanks for any suggestions

I use this one in my home office:

SignalBoost Dual Band In-line Cell Phone Booster from Wilson Electronics | RepeaterStore

Works great - I went from -95 dB to -80 dB. I am going to buy a wireless system for the house soon, but only from Wilson.

Thanks ralarosa... but how did you attach the antenna to your 8830 ?

BB's don't have an external antenna port. It just uses "velcro". The antenna is on the bottom of the 8100 and probably in the same place on the 88xx and 83xx.
