I didn't have this issue when using 4.2.xxx However, with 4.5.33, I had this exact same issue. After upgrading to .51, this issue is now *knock on wood* gone....so I would really try and make sure you have the latest OS, enough memory before bashing verizon. I'm in no way a fan, but I have seen my wife's AT&T 8800 drop calls left right and center....with VZW, I have had dropped calls where I can count the instances on one hand...i.e. very rarely.

I had some weirdness going on with a lot of things (Mostly small things) on my 8830WE under 4.2.2. Upgraded to 4.5.0.51 and haven't had a single thing wrong with the phone.
I'm not exactly sure where some of you live but everything works just fine here in Pittsburgh.
Ok I have 4.5.0.51 and since I've had it I've noticed that when I answer calls there is about a 2-4 second delay to where it actually "answers" the call and another 1-2 seconds to where someone can hear me talking.. Anyone else had this problem?

That's a bug in .51. Upgrading to .77 fixes that problem. There is a thread on .77 in the "Beta Talk 4.5" thread.
I have the same problem as everyone in this thread. I have a 8830 from sprint and my calls drop when I have about 2 or 3 bars. I will be talking then outta nowhere it says call lost. I hate when that happens and I'm running on 4.5.0.77 OS...

This happens to me all the time. But mostly when im on the phone and an Email comes in, the call drops. I am also on a blackberry server. Does this happen to anyone else?
Try "SnapBack" on BlackBerry App World. SnapBack makes staying connected on mobile devices a snap! The SnapBack application automatically knows when you have lost a call due to a weak signal and automatically reconnects the call once a reliable signal is available to your mobile device.
