i unlocked my 8830, but recently got a replacement berry through insurance. is my berry still unlocked or do i have to go through the whole process again because its a new one?

Unlocked codes are based on the IMEI, i.e. per BlackBerry!

So, if you got a replacement, you'd need to get another unlock code...

One disadvantage of getting a device unlocked...

i just unlocked again. just to double check, at the end of the process, when i enter the code and press enter, it says "code accepted" that means my berry is unlocked right?

Yes! Test it with someone else SIM, from another carrier...
