I have a 8830 world edition from Alltel my problem is that when I hook my BB to my laptop and use the desk top manager it asks me for a password. I've tryed the password that unlocks the BB phone it's self and that dosen't work.

Mine asks for my email user name and password for Outlook. Is that it?

No it's after I installed the desktop manager to the laptop and plug the phone in to access the desktop manager. The phone is a business phone we use Novell for e-mail. Desktop manager asks for just a password to let me use the program

I am having the exact same issue. It is prompting me for my password to my device, and when i put in the password that works on my device it won't recognize it. Any Ideas?

i bet it's for the certificate or key store or whatever it's called... you can cancel it if so... it's not needed for syncing...

u can get rid of it by using the app loader to remove it
