Can anyone recommend any good software to compress video files so they don't eat up so much memory on my media card?

I use the Media Manager that comes with BB Destop manager. Works great. There are 3 different seetings for video. I used the setting for the most compression. I have fit 4 full length movies, 250 mp3s and about 50 photos on a 2gb card. Video ends up OK for watching on a 2" screen

How would I get one of my dvd movies on my curve? I would like to put 300 on my blackberry but I don't know how to? please advise thanks
