I have an 8830 with a pesky voice-mail icon which will not go away.
When I am on CDMA, at worst, I can get the icon to go-away by turning the mobile network on and off.
Unfortunately, I am roaming on GSM right now, and the on/off trick does not seem to be working. I currently have no voice mail messages, but the icon returns...
With the cost of calling my voicemail I'd really only like to see the icon when I really have it. Otherwise, I guess I will just have to keep checking it once a day by skype...
