I just bought my first BB and was curious of the purpose of the browser on my phone. I try to surf the web but cant figure out how to get to google or Yahoo. Everytime I open browser Icon I get the VZstart page and can only go to the VZ icons on that page. Can this phone surf like a regular computer or only blackberry stuff?

Yes.

Open the browser > BB button > Options > Broswer Configuration > scroll down to Home Page Address:
Enter google.com > BB button > Save.

Also, if you are interested, there are a couple of other browsers that allow you to get a more "full-screen" experience as you would on a Mac or PC:

• Opera Mini
• Bolt (Beta)

There should be some threads out here for those. I have tried both and they have great features...but I personally enjoy the BB browser just fine. I'll grab my laptop if I want the real deal.
