    OK Guys,

    After doing some research I found this link:
    ttp://bb.anworm.com/Home/english

    follow it with the instructions, pretty easy to do, will allow you to use the Blackberry Browser without BIS.

    I don't think this will work for VZW customers. VZW will not activate a BB without a Data plan and the 8830 does not have wifi.
