I have been using my 8830we for awhile now and never needed the messenger and removed it from my device. I now have a need for the messenger and for some reason when I try to reload it onto it I get a message that says
"sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry messenger for software versions 4.0 and 4.1"
I took a look at the requirements for an OTA install in need BB software 3.7.x or higher installed and 16 MB of flash memory
I have software version 4.2.2.176 currently and 17MB free if I read it correctly.
