I'm hoping that some wise Crackberry-head can help me with this. When my Blackberry 8830 is in an area with no coverage, I will not receive any messages even after returning to an area with coverage until I pull the battery. This is very annoying. My questions, based on your experience are:
1. Is this my phone in particular?
2. Is this my carrier (Sprint)?
3. Is this Blackberries in general?
4. Is this a problem with smart phones in general?
It's not a general problem. My Verizon 8830 would recover the signal and start receiving messages when I returned to coverage, with no intervention on my part. My Verizon 9630, on the other hand, will not. I have to turn it off and back on to get it to recover the signal. Very annoying.
