Advice: Convenience Button
- Hey everyone,
I've had my blackberry for a few months now and I'm still struggling with what I should assign the convenience button to do. I have it as "Lock" right now, which I kinda like because I just hit it before I put it in my pocket.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for what I should set it as???07-31-08 01:41 PMLike 0 - If you text a lot Compose. I have mine set to camera so I can take quick pix anywhere. The other is set to profiles to change quickly when I walk into work. There is a huge thread on what everyone has as convenience keys if you want more ideas. Just search the forum, its easy.

First, turn off dialing from the home screen:
Your speed dial still works
Hit the Send button to open up the phone before you dial (same as dialing from home screen, just hit the button first)
Turning off dialing from home screen is well worth it... it opens a ton of keyboard shortcuts!!
'k' : lock
'm' : messages
'c' : compose
'f' : profiles
'n' : BBM
'b' : browser
't' : tasks
'l' : calendar
'q' : compose SMS (if you have the qSMS app, for FREE)
This opens up the convenience keys to be used for whatever you want, but (IMO) they should never be used as something you can easily do from the keypad07-31-08 03:26 PMLike 0 - I'd like to use mine to make my phone silent with one button (for those 'oops' times in movies, etc.). Any thoughts on how do to that?04-10-09 04:39 PMLike 0
