When in the ring tone media files the ring tones sound very loudly. When my phone actually rings I often times don't even hear the ring. I have the volume set to the loudest option. Is there another way to make my phone ring louder? Thanks.

You have a few options but note that the 8830 does appear to have real problems with the volume of ringtones.
One is to use 3rd party software to boost the volume of your file - wavepad and audacity provide that ability.
You can also see the STICKY thread at the top of this forum for Classic Ringtones - it is more than loud enough.

Upgrading to OS 4.5.077 fixes the ringtone volume issue.
