I'm not sure I understand your question, but I moved it to a new thread because I don't believe it fits in the GPS thread. To my knowledge there is only one 8830WE model. Could you elaborate on what you're looking for?
If you're thinking that you're going to try and run 8800 software (which has working GPS) on an 8830 in an effort to make it work, you're heading the wrong way.
This of course is a complete guess on what you might be trying to do and why this was in the GPS thread to begin with.
Of course I could be completely off here in which case it just means you simply aren't fermiliar with how Forums work... in which case the answer is... It's its own model, basically a CDMA version of the 8800.
