So I plan on updating my 8830 WE to the new telus 160 file. I am currently unaware as to how these service books work. I have just had my carrier send me some new ones which made a huge improvement in other aspects of the phone and DO NOT want to loose them.
Does a normal backup using the BB desktop manager backup service books too?
I found info on the curve and the storm but none for the WE.
A normal backup only backs up your personal information. If you need service books sent, you can send them yourself from the Setup Wizard or from your carrier's BIS site.
