I am new to crackberry.com, so please forgive me if my newbie searches just didn't turn up the answer to my question.

My camera died a few weeks ago so I have been using my BB to take video of my daughter. I emailed it to myself hoping to send it to family members. Much to my suprise my PC doesn't like it. I am running Vista on my pc. I was told by a friend that .vid files are quicktime files and I would need to purchase software from Apple to convert the files. Is this true? is there an easier/cheaper way?

The reason you probably aren't getting any replies is your profile says you have a curve and this is the 8830 forum. 8830's don't have cameras. But to answer your question. You should be able to download the Apple QuickTime Player and watch the videos. QuickTime is a free down load.
