    The red status light on my 9-month old 8830 WE is glowing steadily all of a sudden. I'm accustomed to it either being dark or blinking to show I have messages. What does it mean when it glows steadily? My battery is showing fully charged.

    I've only seen it solid continuously when it was hung or stuck in a boot. Or firmware failure. Never during normal operation.

    A reboot using [Alt]-[Right Shift]-[Delete] cleared the status light. I guess it was just cranky!
