Sorry but there is no way to change this! I know that you can send a mssg. totaling 640 characters but it gets sliced into 4 mssgs. when the recipient gets them.

Just noticed my 8320 allows up to 6 mssgs.

I've seen some people do this. How do you do it? SMS won't let you type more then 160.

Once you exceed the 160 characters it should Automatically start a new message. You will only need to send 1 but the recipient will receive the total amount depending on how many you actually typed.

I know what you're saying, sending once and it will split into multiple pages. But on the 8830, once you reach the max. a message will pop up stating "Field Full" and this is on all 8830's. I doubt the OS has anything to do with the max, I can load a different OS from another carrier and will still get the "Field Full" message.

(I should also mention that when I send a text message near 160, it splits into 2 pages to the recipient, so 160 characters = two pages on other cell phones)
