Won't recognize sim

Bought an 8700 on ebay, unlocked cingular one.
Can't remember if it worked before, but certainly after upgrading it wouldn't recognize my sim, not only myy bb but also my regular cellphone simcard. Can't make a phonecall either.

When I tried to put the unlock code in I even couldn't make it to the simcard part in options. It says "no simcard: invalid simcard"

Hope someone here will have some suggestions here:D
If noone knows here, there is no help for me!

If this is mentioned before in any of the threads I apologize.

I hope so to that someone wound know some solution. We know we tried everything... ;)

Yes, tried it with 2 different sims and both work perfectly.
tried it with my bb sim that works in curve, 8800 and 8100 and with the sim from my cellphone.
Lol, at least I have other bb's if I can't get this one to work!:D

Mine is the same .What software did you download.Do you have to download the software before putting your sim card in the phone.My phone is 8700c that I bought from ebay 2 days ago.It says unlock phone.I thought that when i get the phone it is already unlocked and all I have to do now is put my sim card inside and it wil work DUH!!! The only thing i DID NOT DO WAS UPDATE THE SOFTWARE.I am with the phone provider Fido.
