i downloaded the application installer and connected my 8703e just like it sez on RIM's site, but it always tells me its up to date with the latest software. on the compatibility tab of the v4.5 page it lists 8700s as being compatible. why cant i get it??

I dont think the 8700 OS will work on your 8703. The 8700's are gsm devices and yours is a cmda device. I THINK your newest OS would be 4.2.1.110 I could be wrong though.

OP- does ur 8703 lag or run slow? mine is compared to my tmobile 8700g....way slower...not liking it either...
