You can view sent emails by going to the sent items folder. Deleted items are another story, once you delete, they are gone.

Kasperapd is dead on!
On my device to view sent emails, I have to change a setting in Message Options/General Options/Hide Sent Emails - I have the choice for yes or no. Does someone have a sent email folder? I don't have one under view folders nor have I seen where I can add one.
egrace, I used to use a Treo as well and found this feature more user friendly on the Treo. Unless I am missing something of course
I believe you will only have a 'sent items' folder if you use BES.
Yap, right you are, Navilyn. And that would explain it - I'm on BIS. Too bad really though :-(

When I access the sent folder, it comes but quickly says folder empty but under general options the folder is set to show.

Are sent items saved anyplace else but the blackberry?
They never seem to appear in my email account. I have a real need to archive sent mail and am afraid I've lost what I've sent in the past 3 weeks (since I got my 8700g).
I've found a setting in the internet service configuration page where I can specify an address where a BCC can be sent for everything I send. But that doesn't help me with what I've sent already.
Help!

When on BIS, sent items does not work, per se'. It's really for BES users. If you want to keep / get a copy of everything you send from your BlackBerry, you MUST enter your address in the auto BCC field on your BIS account...
If you did not do so, prior to three weeks ago, sorry, there is no way to retrieve it; unless people replied to said emails, of course...
If you are on BIS, try hitting "ALT O" when in your messages folder. You should see all of your sent messages there with check marks.
This has also been a concern and a pain I have had not being on BES and needing to see sent messages.
Will this help?
I was on BIS and on .247 I had all the folders including "sent" and everything. Now after upgrading to .304, I don;t have them anymore, they are all gone. Just realized by reading the thread. Thankfully, alt+ o works.
