I currently have a Sidekick3 w/ T-mobile and came across a great deal at work.

The person that handles our firms cell phones is willing to sell me an AT&T 8700c series that has only been used for 2 weeks for $50.00. So, I tested the phone w/ my sim and it gave me an invalid sim message.

Do I need to unlock the phone ???

Will all features work (since I have a T-mobile sim, etc) ???

    Any help/advice is appreciated.

You need to have the BB unlocked to work your TMo network and SIM card.

You might be able to have your firm's IT people, or whoever is the ATT contact in your company ask ATT to unlock it for free.

ask the guy you are getting the blackberry from to call 611 and tell the customer service provider to unlock the phone. he should have had it long enough for them to provide the unlock code
