I really like my phone but voice calling on Wifi sounds far more enticing. I'm going to exchange my 8700g today for an 8320 Curve. My wife, however, is keeping her 8700g because she's far too attached to it. Can't blame her, though.

It is good. I figured I'd miss it but I'm happy with my new phone. My wife refused to switch her 8700g for the Curve.

Besides the new generation of BlackBerry, the 8700 is the BEST BlackBerry device!

The 8700 series rocks! This is the best phone that I have ever purchased. I recently updated the OS to v4.2. With that said there is no reason to upgrade to the 8830. Besides I hate how the 8800 feels, it looks cheap. I also have the extended battery for the 8700 from Siedio . I can get 3 days of power with regular usage including GPS on a single charge, it's unreal.

    Hey Cinnamin,

don't you already have a 8700g? Though they will discontinue the model, this doesn't mean that you can't get it, I'm sure there is a lot of merchant locations that still carry the model, while supplies last of course.
