I uploaded version 4.2 and I can no longer scroll unlock anymore. Help

I'm a bit confused, are you saying after the upgrade of OS, if the device is locked you can't scroll to select the 'unlock' field? Try a battery pull, and try again...

Also, I take it you install the RIGHT OS, for the RIGHT device?

Sorry, I am saying that Before the uploading of os 4.2 I could unlock my keypad by just scrolling the wheel to unlock and pressing. Now I have to push * and green send key. I only had to scroll to unlock and depress wheel to unlock in os 4.1.

Yes os 4.2 is correct and working well. I do like it better than 4.1

Did you ever figure out a solution for this - i just got an 8700 at&t branded with the 4.2 os and I HATE the * send key unlocking...HELP!!!
