No clue what you are talking about since AT&T does indeed have an MMS service for BlackBerry devices.

Are you able to send them? Is it that you are receiving the message but no picture or not receiving the message at all? Is this with just one contact that you have been testing with or more than one contact? What networks are you contacts on that are trying to send you the message?

So the only person you have had attempt to send you an MMS is your wife? And you receive the message, but do not see the pic?

First of all, it's spelled TRIED. Secondly, does it give you a message about retrieving the pic? If so, press menu and retrieve now. Otherwise, call your carrier and ask them about it.

The 8700 does not have MMS.... Sorry. I found out from the web site
Sending or receiving Multimedia Messages (MMS) is only an option on the following RIM BlackBerry devices:

    RIM BlackBerry 7130c
    RIM BlackBerry 8800
    RIM BlackBerry 8820
    RIM BlackBerry Curve
    RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310
    RIM BlackBerry Pearl
    RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8120
Other RIM BlackBerry devices do not have Multimedia Messaging (MMS) functionality on the AT&T wireless network at this time.
