This update will work just fine. I have the Vodafone edition of the 8707 and installed it without any problems. This package has language support for Chinese, Japanese and English.

Afaik, the v in 8707v means sold by vodafone and other than the cosmetics, all 8707 are the same.

However, 8707 does not get as much support as the 8700. Afaik, the only difference is that the 8700 is G2 and the 8707 is G2/G3.

Fiskus, no. The os's are device specific. Hate to say it but the 8707 doesnt get much attention as far as os upgrades go.

No, OS updates are device specific. There should be a sticky thread on the main page of this particular forum for the latest 8703 OS.
